The first day of school.

{sigh} The first day of school is today.  My littles are growing up.  Nothing drives that home more than the first day of school each year.

I packaged up some little first day of school surprises for the kids and tucked them in to the snack pouch on their backpacks.  Do you remember when you were a kid loving those pens that you could change the colors on?  I never had one – always wanted one!  I was so excited when I saw these at Walmart and was able to pair with a coupon and a doubler and score these for super cheap  😉

I used some Honeycomb Middy Bitty Bags, embellished with a school patterned paper collection from Echo Park Paper, and then tied off with some coordinating Divine Twine.
